How to choose a CRM in 2026: Bitrix24, local tools, or custom

We compare popular CRM options for B2B: when an off-the-shelf product is enough, when you need customization and integrations.

CRM Bitrix24 Automation

Why CRM matters at all

CRM is not just a "leads and deals" spreadsheet. It is the single source of truth for sales and support: from a website form to invoice and repeat purchase. If managers duplicate data in Excel and messengers, CRM pays off simply by making the funnel visible.

Bitrix24: when it fits

Bitrix24 covers 80% of typical scenarios for CIS businesses: pipelines, tasks, telephony, documents, smart processes. It makes sense when you need a fast start, predictable licensing, and ready integrations with local accounting and telephony.

Downsides: complex processes need configuration and custom work; "out of the box" rarely covers 100% of operations. We often implement and customize Bitrix24 to match real client workflows.

Lightweight pipelines

Tools like amoCRM (popular in CIS) suit small sales teams focused on speed. Good when you do not need heavy smart processes and internal portals. Website and messenger integrations are standard tasks.

Custom CRM on Laravel

A custom CRM is justified when:

  • you have a unique data model (multiple legal entities, complex roles, industry entities);
  • CRM must be part of a SaaS product, not only a sales department tool;
  • API-first and white label are critical.

We design such systems on Laravel with queues, events, and integrations — see client portal case study.

Selection checklist

  1. How many users and what roles?
  2. Do you need ERP, marketplaces, telephony?
  3. How much customization fits the budget?
  4. Who owns the process after go-live?
