All About PMR — Regional Catalog, Online Booking and Media Platform for Transnistria

Businesses in Transnistria live scattered across social media and classifieds: a salon's page on VK, a master's Telegram chat, a listing on a local board — every business has its own island, and none of them look the same. A resident of Tiraspol, Bender, Ribnita or another PMR city looking for a specific service nearby usually ends up Googling into either an outdated directory or a dozen inconsistent pages: some have a phone number, some skip the schedule, some don't even make clear whether the business is open.

For visitors to the region it's worse: general-purpose maps and directories barely know PMR's local landmarks and events, and there was simply no single place to combine "where to go", "what's nearby" and "who to book with".

The business side had the mirror problem. Where online booking existed at all, it usually lived inside messenger chats: the client wrote down a time, the admin checked it manually, and slots were easy to lose or double-book. There was no map presence, no visible review history, and no way to pay for better placement inside the region — ad budgets leaked into generic social platforms without local precision.

The task wasn't "build one more directory". It was to give PMR a single entry point that works for residents searching here and now, and for businesses that need a manageable profile, a schedule, and a clear way to pay for visibility.

We designed "All About PMR" as a two-sided platform — a public catalog for residents and visitors, plus a business dashboard — split across three surfaces sharing one API:

  1. Public catalog by city. Companies and services are grouped across eight PMR cities — Tiraspol, Bender, Ribnita, Slobodzeya, Dubossary, Dnestrovsk, Grigoriopol, Kamenka. Search, a "near me" geolocation filter, reviews and a company card with a schedule live in one interface instead of ten links to outside social pages.
  2. Slot-based online booking. Instead of messenger back-and-forth, a schedule shows real open slots: the client sees available time with a specific specialist or location and books it directly, without a manual check from an admin.
  3. Map, landmarks and events. An OpenStreetMap layer with PMR points of interest, an events calendar and a news section cover the second half of the intent — not just "where to buy or book", but "where to go" — turning the catalog into a guide to life in the region.
  4. Business owner dashboard. Company profile, service list, schedule and incoming bookings live in a separate client area. Free / Basic / Pro plans define feature scope and catalog ranking; subscription payments run through Agroprombank WebPayment, with no external payment aggregator involved.
  5. Split-layer architecture. Laravel 13 serves the REST API and Sanctum-based auth as the single source of truth; Nuxt 3 with SSR renders the public catalog pages so cities and company cards index properly in search; the Flutter app for Android consumes the same API as the web client. Redis handles caching and queues, MySQL is the production store.
  6. Groundwork for later. The same codebase laid the foundation for a product showcase for businesses — a basis for a possible future marketplace, without launching a full online store in this release.

The public MVP of the platform launched on July 10, 2026.

Takeaway

"All About PMR" isn't a landing page or a typical directory-as-a-business-card — it's a platform with two distinct user types inside one system: a resident who searches and books, and a business owner who manages a profile and pays for visibility. That combination requires the public site, the business dashboard and the mobile app to run off one API and one data model — otherwise the schedule on the web and in the app drift apart quickly.

Our role on the project was system architecture, the Laravel backend, the Nuxt SSR frontend, a Flutter mobile client, and integrations (geolocation, mapping, subscription payments). If you need a site or platform of similar complexity for the PMR market — from a directory with a client area to a service with its own mobile app — our website development in PMR page walks through the stages and decisions we use to build it.
