12 years of diamond drilling — zero leads from Google: how a pro with 1000+ jobs lost “hole for gas column” searches

A specialist with real experience relied on word of mouth while search went to anyone with a landing page and a phone number. We built a page where experience is visible before the call — in 3 days.

A diamond drilling and concrete cutting specialist — 12 years on the job, 1000+ projects, complex work “without dust and cracks”. But online he didn’t exist.

Leads came from referrals and repeat clients. New ones went to competitors on queries like “hole for gas column Tiraspol”, “concrete diamond cutting Bender”, “ventilation drilling Ribnita”. People google, see someone else’s site with photos and a phone — and call there. Experience never enters the decision.

The client put it this way: “People recommend me, but the younger guys with a phone rank in search and take half the jobs.” He didn’t ask for a “beautiful portfolio site for six months”. He needed a trust storefront you can open on mobile in 15 seconds and call immediately.

Starting point: no page for geo queries, no visual proof of work, no clear service list “for my exact task” — only word of mouth in a small circle.

We didn’t start with a color palette. We started with the customer’s search question: “Who will drill a hole for a column / hood / ventilation near me without ruining the wall?”

Marketing decisions, not “just layout”:

  1. Experience on the first screen, in numbers. “12 years • 1000+ projects • PMR” — not buried in “About us”, but in the hero next to the phone. The client must believe before calling.
  2. Services matched to demand. Not abstract “drilling”, but holes for gas columns, hoods, ventilation, concrete cutting — in the language of someone who just typed a query into Google.
  3. Gallery as proof. Real project photos with lightbox — the customer sees joint quality and neat work, not a stock drill image.
  4. Objections handled before contact. Process steps, FAQ (“how much dust”, “how long”, “which diameters”), city marquee — visual coverage of all PMR.
  5. Call and messengers without friction. Large “Call” button, WhatsApp / Viber / Telegram — no long forms “describe your task, we’ll call back tomorrow”.

In parallel — local SEO and Schema.org LocalBusiness, HTTPS, sitemap: the page is ready to take a place in search, not sit as a dead PDF on hosting.

Takeaway

In skilled trades with high ticket and fear of “they’ll ruin the wall”, what sells isn’t the site — it’s visible experience. The customer doesn’t read your bio. In 20 seconds they answer: “this one definitely did this kind of job” — and tap Call.

A pretty template without work photos and specific services is an expensive business card. A landing where 12 years and 1000 projects sit next to the phone is a tool that competes with word of mouth and search at once.
