Technical SEO for a Laravel site: 2026 checklist

What to check on a Laravel/Statamic site before scaling content: speed, indexing, canonical, schema, sitemap.

SEO Laravel Performance

Foundation beats "keywords in H1"

Without a technical base, content will not perform. Below is what we check in an SEO audit.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

  • HTML cache (Statamic static cache in production);
  • defer for JS, versioned CSS;
  • WebP, width/height on images, lazy-load;
  • gzip/brotli and Cache-Control on static assets.

Indexing

  • robots.txt and up-to-date sitemap.xml;
  • canonical on every page;
  • hreflang for RU/EN pairs;
  • 301, not 302, for permanent redirects.

Markup

  • Open Graph with 1200×630 PNG;
  • JSON-LD: Organization, WebSite, Article, Service, FAQ;
  • BreadcrumbList breadcrumbs.

Statamic specifics

Separate collections for EN without multisite Pro is a valid pattern if you link URLs via hreflang and avoid duplicating brand in titles.

Content and internal links

Articles should link to services and cases — that distributes authority and improves conversion, not just traffic. For local search in the region see SEO website promotion in Moldova and Transnistria.
